Why participate?
- No need to submit reimbursement requests for general practitioners’,specialists’ and dentists' (for the time being, only dentists using Dentasoft software) consultations.
- Secure and fast transmission of eAttests directly to JSIS.
- Less paperwork and leaner reimbursement processing.
- No risk of missing the 18-month deadline.
How to participate?

- Open MyPMO (click on “myHealth” and “Administrative data & National number”) or JSIS online (navigate to “My data”).
- Check all boxes to indicate consent (your consent also covers your minor children).
- Enter your NISS/BIS/National Register without spaces, dots, or dashes, as well as those of your minor children.
- Validation will be effective the next day.
For more information on how to register in MyCareNet, you can consult our guide.
For your spouse/partner and adult children with primary coverage:
- Open MyPMO (click on “myHealth” and “Administrative data & National number”) or JSIS Online (navigate to “My data”).
- Download the consent form. Each adult family member must fill in their information and check the boxes to provide consent. You may then upload the completed form to the application.
- Enter the NISS/BIS/National Register without spaces, dots or dashes for each concerned family member.
- Validation will be effective the next day.
In practice:
- Register – this is a one-time operation.
- Visit a general practitioner, a specialist or a dentist (for the time being, only dentists using Dentasoft software) in Belgium.
- Inform the doctor about the possibility to issue an electronic attestation (eAttest – not eFac) through MyCareNet.
- Pay for your consultation.
- The eAttest will be sent by MyCareNet to JSIS and a reimbursement request will be generated automatically.
- After payment, we strongly recommend asking your doctor to give you a copy of the eAttest listing the amount paid for each service and any supplements. The eAttest is for information only (your proof of payment) and should not be submitted for reimbursement.
- Once generated, you will be able to track your reimbursement requests via MyPMO or JSIS online.
Who is excluded from MyCareNet?
Dependent family members (spouse/partner, children) who benefit from another public social security scheme (Belgian mutualité), including those covered by JSIS in top-up (complementary cover).
Can I use MyCareNet for health screening or annual check-ups?
Yes, costs related to consultations within the annual medical check-up are currently included in MyCarenet. If your doctor uses a hospital billing system for care certificates, simply follow the habitual procedure (SerMed) and submit your claims via MyPMO or JSIS Online
What happens if the doctor cannot use the eAttest feature?
In such cases, you must submit your reimbursement claims on MyPMO or JSIS online as you did before.
